Carbon Steel Finned Tube

Carbon steel finned tube is a heat exchange element, whose core structure consists of a carbon steel base tube and fins fixed on its surface. Such fins can expand the contact area between the tube and the fluid, thereby greatly improving the heat transfer efficiency.

High Heat Conduction Efficiency
The fins on the surface of carbon steel finned tubes greatly increase the heat exchange area, which is 40-60% higher than that of ordinary bare tubes. This design allows heat to be transferred from the fluid to the outside of the tube or from the outside of the tube to the fluid more quickly and evenly. Therefore, at the same size, the heat conduction efficiency of carbon steel finned tubes is 30-50% higher than that of ordinary carbon steel tubes.

High Mechanical Strength
Carbon steel finned tubes are made of carbon steel material, and their tensile strength is usually between 420-520 MPa, which is much higher than ordinary copper or aluminum tubes. This high strength property enables carbon steel finned tubes to withstand higher working pressures, up to 2.5-3 MPa, which is 1.5-2 times that of ordinary pipes. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for use in high-pressure and high-temperature environments, such as industrial boilers and pressure vessels.

Strong Corrosion Resistance
The surface of carbon steel finned tubes is hot-dip galvanized. This treatment can form a protective layer with a thickness of 60-80μm on its surface, effectively preventing corrosive substances such as oxygen and moisture from contacting the metal substrate. Therefore, in most industrial environments, its corrosion rate is usually less than 0.005 mm/year, and it has strong corrosion resistance.
