Copper Finned Tubes

Copper finned tube is a heat exchange element. It is made by machining many fins on the surface of copper tube. These fins greatly increase the contact area between the copper tube and the external fluid, thereby improving the heat transfer efficiency.

Thermal Conductivity
The thermal conductivity of copper is as high as 401 W/(m·K), which is much higher than aluminum (237 W/(m·K)) and stainless steel (16 W/(m·K)). This means that copper finned tubes can transfer heat faster and more efficiently. At the same time, the design of the fins further increases the heat exchange area, which increases the heat transfer efficiency per unit volume of the tube by 30%-50%.

Corrosion Resistance
The copper surface easily reacts with oxygen to form an oxide layer, which blocks air and moisture from contacting the metal body, thereby improving its corrosion resistance. Therefore, in most environments, the corrosion rate of copper finned tubes is usually less than 0.0025mm/year, which is much lower than many other metal tubes.

Durability
The fatigue strength of copper is usually between 120–200 MPa, which is much higher than aluminum alloy or stainless steel. High fatigue strength means that our copper finned tubes are less likely to break under repeated stress. Therefore, under normal use conditions, the service life of copper finned tubes can typically reach 30-50 years, far exceeding many other materials.
