Smaller Spatial Footprint

With the advancement of modern technology, it seems that more powerful also means smaller; smaller personal devices, smaller and more versatile manufacturing equipment, and more. Double Pipe Heat Exchangers
A double-pipe heat exchanger, or hairpin heat exchanger, consists of two concentric pipes.In this configuration, one fluid flows through the inner pipe, while the other flows through the outer pipe in the opposite direction. These heat exchangers are simple, compact, and suitable for low to moderate heat transfer applications. They are used in chemical processing plants, small-scale industrial applications, and laboratory equipment.

 

Shell and Tube Exchangers
Shell and tube exchangers are made of a series of tubes. One set of tubes carries the hot fluid and the other set carries the cold fluid. The tubes are enclosed in a larger cylindrical shell. The shell and tube exchanger configuration is popular in power generation, oil refineries, chemical processing, HVAC systems, food and beverage industry.

Required water flow rate (as measured at the supply entrance to the heat exchanger)

The flow rate of the water in the system must be in the range of 23 - 57 liters (6 - 15 gallons) per minute. The actual flow rate of water in the system varies based on the water temperature and the amount of heat that needs to be removed.

Pressure drop versus flow rate for heat exchangers (including quick-connect couplings) is defined as approximately 24 kPa (3.5 psi) at 57 liters (15 gallons) per minute.

 

Installation of Heat Exchanger

 

 

Preparing your facility to provide water to the rack per the required specifications.Removing the existing rack rear door, and installing new hinge assemblies, and installing new latch plate.Attaching the heat exchanger door assembly to the rack.


Routing flexible hoses, leaving enough length at the rack end to easily make connections to the heat exchanger.Connecting the water-supply and water-return hose that runs from the cooling distribution unit or distribution manifold to the heat exchanger.Filling the heat exchanger with water.


Adjusting and inspecting the hoses to ensure there are no kinks in the hoses and that the hoses are not lying against any sharp edges.Adjusting the door latch assembly to ensure the door fits flatly to the rack and that all gaskets seal to the rack.


Note: For safety reasons, trained service personnel (or qualified professionals) must perform the installation of the heat exchanger.
