Surface Air Cooler

The surface air cooler is a copper tube brazed aluminum (copper) heat exchanger that uses an advanced mechanical expansion and wavy double folded aluminum fin structure. Mechanical expansion makes the copper tubes in close contact with the aluminum fins, while the bridge-shaped slots promote fluid turbulence, disrupt the boundary layer, and improve the heat transfer coefficient.

The surface air cooler uses air as a cooling medium and transfers the heat of the target object to the air through heat exchange, thereby achieving the purpose of cooling. Its core structure is a combination of copper tubes and wavy double-folded aluminum fins through mechanical expansion technology.

High Heat Transfer Efficiency
Our surface air cooler adopts a wavy double-folded aluminum fin design, which can increase the effective heat transfer area by about 20% to 25% compared with traditional straight fins, greatly improving the heat exchange efficiency. At the same time, our heat pipes are made of copper, and the thermal conductivity of copper is as high as 401 W/(m·K). Compared with steel tube heat exchangers, its heat exchange efficiency can be increased by 15% to 20%.

 

Strong Connection
Our surface air cooler adopts mechanical expansion technology, which is a processing method that makes the copper tube and aluminum fin fit tightly through physical expansion. Compared with the welding fixation method, the mechanical expansion process does not require high temperature, will not cause thermal stress concentration of the material, and avoids the problem of weld fatigue cracking caused by thermal expansion and contraction.

 

Corrosion Resistance
The heat pipe of the surface air cooler is made of T2 copper, which has strong chemical stability and is not easy to react with corrosive substances. At the same time, we use industrial pure aluminum for the fin part, and its surface is treated by anodizing process to form an aluminum oxide protective film with a thickness of about 10-15 μm, which can protect the internal metal from corrosion.
